What Is Song of the Moment?

Song of the Moment is a personal project of mine that has two major goals. The first goal is to create an archive of what songs I personally enjoyed and at what point in time so that in the future I can look back and say “Wait, I liked that song?” The second goal is that of sharing. I love sharing things with people, such as music, games, movies, tv shows etc. It’s always been fascinating to me to be able to share music with totally strangers and see just what it is that they are into and in turn be able to share with others the music that I like. Sharing is caring, after all.

What Isn’t Song of the Moment?

Well, when I said share this and share that with people, I didn’t mean P2P sharing or downloading media. This is merely a listening site, such as your other friendly online radio stations such as LastFM. To clarify, you can only listen, no touching.

How Do You Choose A Song of the Moment?

That is not always an easy thing, sometimes it is, but most of the time I need to have a song hit me the right way for it to be considered Song of the Moment. Here are some reasons why a song will be picked for Song of the Moment:

  • I liked the song previously, such as in my youth.
  • It is a song featured on a movie or TV show that I like.
  • Just cannot stop listening to it.
  • I get a tingle down my spine when I hear those first opening riffs.
  • There is a part in the song that needs to be shared with the world.
  • Favourite artist / new artist with a song that sounds amazing each time I listen to it.

Can I submit Songs for Posting?

Sadly right now, that isn’t possible. I am considering it for the future though, so stay tuned to future announcements for upcoming features.

So… Just listening to songs eh?

Yes, for now it’s mostly just songs that I like at the moment or have always been favourites etc. Like I said though, things can and will change, just waiting to see how popular this site is for now and will build upon it later.
